Rest and relaxtion

On wednesday we had our first r and r day! The students decided individually what they wanted to do and some wanted to stay by the hotel all day and relax by the pool, wash and pack, whilst others ventured out to explore the bizarres of Jaipur. We visited the observatory first which is open air and was an experience not least along the way passing a snake charmer no less! Once we got there buying tickets was interesting different prices if you are indian or non- indian....so two of our students paid 20rps and the rest paid 100rps (make of that what you will).

After the observatory we walked into the bizarres, cramped streest with lots of people, mopeds among other things we walked and the students browsed and purchased some gifts. We were even lucky enough to find a man on the street making bracelet / bangles and was kind enough to let us watch. After this we made it back to the hotel.

The other leader and myself went to go and buy an mobile phone as ours is not working. this was an experience. The phone takes not 1 but 2 sim cards, so it now has 2 different mobile numbers, apparently this is better for a good signal. Buying a sim card is no easy feet...having already bought one two days ago we go to the same shop, now one would asume having given security details once , copy of passport, visa and photo this would not be needed again...oh not the case! buying a phone is easy buying a sim is a whole different experience!
