Found the site very useful.
When I was asked (during my first PGCE lecture) to name the teacher who had inspired me to enter the profession, I said Vicky Bishop. She was my form tutor and Geography teacher at Lutterworth Grammar School in Leicestershire and she was the reason why I wanted to take Geography at A-level. I went on to do a Biology degree (although my highest A-Level grade was actually Geography!) and Mrs Bishop is the reason I became a teacher 14 years ago. Her love of teaching and her commitment to us, her students, was apparent. So, I was thrilled, proud, impressed and not at all surprised when I learned that Mrs Bishop had become a Head Teacher. People move on and we rarely get the chance to say thanks and congratulations, but thank you and congratulations Mrs B! With love from Michelle White (nee Herdman).
