We are proud to announce that we are one of only four schools in Northamptonshire achieving ‘well above average’ with a Progress 8 score of 0.65 which is a further increase on last year’s outstanding figure of 0.38.
The Department of Education have published their performances tables which show comparisons across schools based on secondary (key stage 4) results for the 2016/17 school year.
Sir Christopher Hatton Academy comes out in the top 7% of schools Nationally. Progress 8 demonstrates progress made by students between Year 7 and Year 11 when they complete their GCSEs. It measures performance in 8 subjects including maths, English, ebacc subjects such as science, languages, geography and history alongside a broad range of other subjects from the curriculum as a whole.
‘We are delighted that the performance tables released today confirm Ofsted’s judgement that the academy is outstanding across all areas of the main school. We are very proud to be not only the highest performing school within Wellingborough but one of the highest in the County and indeed Nationally ’
