KS3 Art

Year 7 students are taught a range of skills to ensure that the national curriculum is covered. We work on 2 projects within year 7: Pop art and Architecture studying a wide range of artists and using a diverse range of media. In year 7 we create a clay tile, 3D sculptures, paintings and drawings. Year 8 have one project where they study portraiture and both traditional and contemporary artists from a wide range of cultural and heritage backgrounds. 

KS4 Art

Exam board: AQA GCSE Art and Design Specification Specification for first teaching in 2016 (aqa.org.uk)

Assessment: NEA component 1 = 60% NEA component 2 ESA (released Jan 1st in year 11) unit 40%

KS5 Art

A level Art and Design (Art, Craft and Design 7201)

Exam board: AQA AS and A-level Art and Design Specification Specifications for first teaching in 2015 (aqa.org.uk)

Assessment: NEA component 1 = 60% NEA component 2 ESA (released Feb 1st in year 13) unit 40%
